Term and Salary The President can serve 2 terms. Each term is 4 years. The president is paid $400,000 a year, plus extra expenses.

The President’s Job The President is the Chief Executive of the USA. He enforces federal laws, treaties, and federal court rulings. He also develops federal policies, prepares the national budget, and can appoint federal officials. He is also the head of the military, or the Commander in Chief.
STEPS TO BE PRESIDENT Must be 35 years old Must have lived in USA for 14 years. Must be a natural born citizen.

Congress The House of Representatives Senate
Senate Each state has 2 Senators. Each term is 6 years. Qualifications to be a Senator include having to be 30 years old, be a U.S citizen for 9 years, and be a resident of the state in which he or she wants to be elected in.
House of Represenitives The number of represenitives is based of the population of the state. 2 year terms
Qualifications (1) at least 25 years old (2) a U.S. citizen for at least 7 years (3) a resident of the state from which the candidate seeks election.
State Represenitives Alabama has 7 representatives California has 53 representatives Alaska, Delaware, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming have 1 representative
JUDICAL BRANCH Interprets Laws
Supreme Court The Supreme Court has nine members—a chief justice and eight associate justices.
WHAT THEY DO They interpret the laws They protect the rights and liberties of everybody The Supreme Court has the power to decide whether a federal or state law or action by the President is constitutional.
TERMS Justices may remain in office for life Justices are approved by the Senate and picked by the President
