A Simple business Model. Tanking car at work. A Simple business Model.

Main Idea Groups of Interest: Middle or large industrial Enterprise who participate in production of eCas, equipment for them or have a solid knowledge base in this aria. Employees of this Enterprise, who are interested in possibility of cheap traveling to the work and have social and technical understanding. Remarks: This is not a permanent global, but a temporal local solution. The implementation of this proposal depend only on this two groups of interest. Proposal: Enterprise establish and maintain at work parking places for their employees a tank possibilities for eCars. Enterprise supply their employee’s eCars with cheap energy. Enterprise use eCars for shaping only their own load for cost reduction. Motivations: Profit, Know-How, Prestige, New Market

of global integration of the eCars in our economy Obstacles of global integration of the eCars in our economy Power distribution costs There are already many solutions, how eCars will be tanked. Over cable, exchanging batteries, filling batteries or fuel cells with electrolytic solution. The creation of the same qualitative distribution network like for petroleum products will afford great investments. And this costs will be included in taxes or in energy prices as well the costs for the service on tank station. Nowadays the costs for electric energy are on the same level as energy form petroleum motors. After the large investment in energy sector the prices will rise even higher. High tech and production costs Because of the high short time investments in the research of eCars and high costs of batteries the eCars are more expensive then combustion cars. And without much lower transportation costs, which not the case, the eCars will have it hard on the market. However the eCar have many other advantages, but they are to complicate to establish on the open market. The solution will be lower taxes. But some one always pay for it… Integration in the energy network The eCars can be a great stress factor for our power network. As the solution for the global implementation of eCars is seen the Smart Grid, which will not only solve the problem of high load from eCars but even allow us to profit form it. However the establishing of an efficient Smart Grid in Germany it will take many years.

Potential “Traveling with the light speed is fiction. Traveling with a light energy is reality” Some key pros of using the eCars Battery: load-shaping Engine: simpler and robust Fuel: decentralized and varied sources Electric: best drive expiries thanks automatisation

“Big ideas afford great preparations” Problems “Big ideas afford great preparations” Some implementation’s problems of the global concept Smart Grid: global establishing will take a long time Battery: high costs establishing distribution system Fuel: because of investments the costs will be to high

as a base for load shaping using eCars Global Cooperation as a base for load shaping using eCars Many actors are interested in eCars, however full cooperation is needed to solve all the problems for global solution (NPE) Power Distributors (establishing of energy distribution network) A full cooperation of all partners is inevitable! (despite interest conflicts) Industry (production costs) Energy Market (creating of business models) Consumers (consciousness, profit and will) Gouvernement (regulations, taxes and lows)

Decentralized approach for simple integration of eCars New simplified approach Also it can be easy adapted when the global solution is available. Employee of Enterprise as Consumers full cooperation clear benefits Enterprise as Power and Service Distributors

“Great things have small beginning” A Solution “Great things have small beginning” Proposal of a simplified approach Insider know-how for higher cost efficiency Clear cost benefits for enterprise and employees Internal market and safe investment Decentralized approach for simple integration

of middle enterprise in eclectic industry Insider know-how of middle enterprise in eclectic industry Usual chain: Industry->Business->user Simpler chain: Industry --->>> User Usage of own products Usage of already available machines for voltage transformation Usage of not for open market designed equipment Testing possibilities Work is performed by own Employees Efficient utilization of the “low employment” time Further development of the know-how Pilot Project - Live example for future clients Testing platform Show own innovation spirit

Cost Benefits For enterprise For enterprises the energy costs consist of Load (max load in year): 70 EUR/(y*kW) Power (consumed energy): 0,07 EUR/hW Transformer (middle->low volt.): cost vary Use of battery of eCar for lowering the maximal load Average battery power: 40kW Load costs reduction: 2.800 EUR/y Also saving on the transformer should be considered, which not need to be extended if the power consumption of enterprise rises. The battery need to be used only few times a month in winter or autumn, when usual all max loads appears. (in north Europe)

Cost Benefits for employees energy costs enterprise (excl. TVA) Power (consumed energy): 0,7 EUR/hW energy costs house holds (excl. TVA) Power (consumed energy): 0,21 EUR/hW Benefit calculation (approximate!) By driving the car only to work 250d/y and 1h/d Average power: 40kW Time: 250d/y*1h/d = 250h/y Power consu.: 1 MWh/y Cost saving: 1.400 EUR/y

Cost Benefits for everyone The cumulate cost benefit (excl. TVA) Load costs reduction: 2.800 EUR/y Energy costs reduction : 1.400 EUR/y Gross: 4.200 EUR/y This is a benefit per car. This way it is possible to achieve in 4 year a full amortization of the car costs (16.000 EUR excl. TVA) .

inside of our enterprise New Internal Market inside of our enterprise Two business models: Charging of eCars Financing new eCars Key-Words in relationship of enterprise and employees Trust Short communication ways Long term economical relationship Transparence It is a description of a best customer! Humor: also with such a short pay-off time, even to give a free eCars to employees can be profitable for the enterprise.

Information Load Shaping: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1f4jtx85g6I Vorteile von Elektromotoren im Netz: http://www.bmu.de/verkehr/elektromobilitaet/doc/45037.php NPE: http://www.bmu.de/verkehr/elektromobilitaet/doc/44798.php

Electric Engine vs Combustion Engine Less moving parts Low noise emission No gear box is needed Simple control regenerative braking Low vibration emission

Electricity as power source There are a great variaty of electric power sources. Like coal, natural gas, the Sun or wind. The advanteg of the eCars is, that they can use all of them. The distribution (over the wire) can be also also simpler and more efficient. In compensation the usual combustion motor can only run with spatial prepared fissile energy sources or ethanol.
