How did it happen? The Vietnam War stared because president Eisenhower did not want communism to spread to America.

When Did It Happen? It happened during 1954- 1975 it took longer because South Vietnam invaded North Vietnam.

The Prepping The U.S Army prepped by gathering weapons ammo and making sure their soldiers are ready for anything.

The Mental Aftermath If you were in the Vietnam war and saw something that shocked you or scared you that will never leave you because you may see things that are so horrify that frightens you so much. Like sometimes you see someone just staring at the wall or doesn’t talk because there so frightened.

Fun Facts Their were 9,087,000 Army personal in active duty during the Vietnam war. 240 men were awarded the medal of honor during the Vietnam War. 58,148 people died during the war. 75,000 were severely disabled. 23,214 were 100% disabled

Why did we enter the War? We entered Vietnam because we wanted to prevent communism. Communism is good theory although for masses, doesn’t always work.

The U.S Army The general was thinking he had every thing under control but he didn’t. There were soldiers going into Vietnam getting killed and there are civilians getting killed in North Vietnam.

Tactics There tactics are to get tanks that can help them in some way. There other tactic is to build a Army infantry to go into Vietnam and fight to the death.

Clothing During the war the soldiers wore a four pocketed jacket with a strip on the right that said their last name and on the left a strip that said U.S Army.

Helmets The Helmets during that time were designed to deflect and incoming projectile such as a bullet how ever it can stop debris from a explosion but if a explosion happened right in front of you your chance is slim.

Equipment The U.S Army’s equipment during the Vietnam war were helmet, flashlight, knife E- tool ( mini Shovel), Army jacket, boots and weapons.

Weapons

Fox Holes Fox holes are trenches that are dug for a military team can fight and take cover in a battle.

The Search The search is what the Army or search and rescue does after the war to check for survivors or enemy personal.
