2016 Orient Action Items What’s next?

Strategy “WHY COMMITTEE”

Leadership Each Valley to provide an updated list of the following by October 1st. The individual’s name, e-mail address and telephone number to be provided to SGIG. (PR & Secretary) Membership Chairman VMAP Chairman Communications Chairman DeMolay Chairman Development Chairman Finance Chairman WHY Chairman Each Chairman will form a functional committee by November 1 (PR & Secretary) Define Mission and action plan for each by January 1 (PR & Secretary)

Membership Review responses from survey with top 4 officers; create plan to implement ideas and resolve any issues by November 1 (PR & Exec. Sec.) Add "Who do you recommend as a Scottish Rite Mason?", "Who do you recommend to become a Master Mason?", "Are you a Senior DeMolay?” to the application for membership by September 15 (Valley Membership Chairman) Reengagement plan by November 1 and the following tasks complete by December 1 (Valley Membership Chairman) Work with those who are near suspension first Contact SNPDs from past Review St. Joseph reinstatement letter and repurpose for your Valley Form phone-bank to personally call these individuals

Development $2 per member, per year to HOT to be sent to SRF (PR & Exec. Sec.) Develop a FINANCIAL MISSION in each Valley by November 1 (PR to ensure this occurs) Reference Randy’s “Ten Keys to Success” from his presentation at moscottishrite.org/resources/. Fundraising – We need to reach outsiders. By November 1 (Orient Director of Development) Develop list of best practices for fundraising to ensure that everything is within IRS and other legal guidelines. Specifically when it comes to raising funds to endow our buildings. Establish Endowment and Legacy Plan by November 1 (Valley Development Chairman or PR)

Ritual / Reunions Strive to CONFER all 29 degrees (PR & Exec. Sec.) Incorporate a degree introduction and orientation program (PR & Exec. Sec.) ______ to host Orient-wide reunion in Spring 2017 (Valley PR & Exec. Sec.) Plan on this also being the inaugural Grand Master’s Scottish Rite Reunion in honor of the sitting MWGM of the Grand Lodge of AF&AM of Missouri.

DeMolay Implement an Advisory Development Program in each Valley by November 1 (Jeff to spearhead) Implement a Parent Engagement Program in each Valley by November 1 (Jeff to spearhead) Conversion Reporting by November 1 (Jeff to spearhead) Invite DeMolay to confer the DeMolay degree and/or Ceremony of Light (PRs) Joplin to include DeMolay degree in upcoming reunion! WITHOUT FAIL! (Joplin PR)

VMAP First draft of each Valley’s VMAP plan submitted to Orient VMAP Diretor AND SGIG by October 31st ALL VALLEYS TO COMPLETE IN FULL AND SUBMITTED BEFORE December 31, 2016
