What do organelles in cells refer to? Walk-in Take out notebook, folder, pencil box and agneda. Copy the question and answer: What do organelles in cells refer to?

answer Organelles are the tiny structures (parts) inside cells. Each organelle has a function (job) to do to help keep the cell alive. Root word: organ – like organs in your body that each have a function or job to do.

Cell diagrams – organelles inside a cell

Today’s learning GOAL The student will Become familiar with the ORGANELLES inside a cell by color-coding a cell diagram. Observe the differences in organelles between a plant cell and an animal cell.

Today’s activities Cell diagrams Look at the ORGANELLES inside an animal cell and a plant cell. Note which ones they have in common, and which ones are different. Color each organelle and color code the key for it. Use the diagrams on the class webpage on a laptop at your table, or see it on the screen.

Read each slide about the FUNCTION about each organelle. When done, View the presentation Cell Structure and Function (can also be found on the class webpage). Read each slide about the FUNCTION about each organelle. Write down the name of the organelle, and a main idea of its function.
