We only had newspaper and sellotape to make the bridge.

Team work was really important.

We added the arches to make it look good.

We were finally happy with our bridge.

Its strength was tested using 50g weights.

It was really exciting as we waited to see how much it would hold.

However this was the winning design and it wasn’t ours However this was the winning design and it wasn’t ours! Better luck next year.

I really enjoyed finding out all the ways we could use newspaper to make things.

This is the first time I’ve tried working on a challenge at a competition.

I learned how to work well in a team and found out more about designing things.
