TDPP ~ TPAS The Training & Development Planning (TDP) Process standardizes how we develop, implement, track, and report annual training plans. The process has been approved for deployment in all NA manufacturing and warehousing facilities.

TDP Process Elements GOVERNANCE: A functioning steering committee (as a role of the LJAC per the 2011 UAW-GM National Agreement) utilizing existing functional committees (Quality Council, PSRB, Leadership, & Technical Training Forum) with responsibility to support training plan development & implementation. BPD LINKAGE: Training priorities established at the Personnel/HR BPD board and corresponding level 2 boards. Countermeasures are documented as plan performance dictates and reviewed at monthly BPD meetings.

TDP Process Elements (Cont.) PLAN DEVELOPMENT: An established and documented needs assessment process conducted annually resulting in a 12-month schedule that comprehends all training in the plan. Validation of the tentative plan should occur through review and feedback from all levels of leadership. The final plan should be reviewed with the Steering Committee with final approval resulting thereafter PLAN IMPLEMENTATION: Ongoing schedule revisions with a clear line-of-sight. An established weekly communication plan is utilized that communicates training events scheduled within the coming 3 – 4 weeks. Monthly reviews by functional committees to track prior month performance and make adjustments as necessary.

TDP Process Elements (Cont.) TOOLSET – TPAS: All classes in the annual plan should be fully set up in the database. Reports showing monthly progress are generated to enable Leadership updates. TPAS-View access is provided to departmental leadership to enable self-service access to employee training records.

Inside Edition Panel Discussion WHAT: An open discussion forum related to the Training & Development Planning Process (TDPP) and Training Plan Administration System (TPAS) WHY: Whether you’re pulling your hair out or getting pats on the back, learn what goes into the formulation, integration, and implementation of these processes via real life experiences and examples
