June 2017 Mrs. Spalding’s Kindergarten/ 1st Grade Classroom Summer Suggestions: + A Note from Your Teacher: Reading: Encourage your child to participate in our school summer reading challenge. Information was sent home on the last day of school. (First graders) Encourage your children to participate in the 99 books challenge. Information was sent home at the Kindergarten Luau. (Kindergarteners) Have your child read for at least 20 minutes every day. Math: Work on recognizing numbers and counting to 100. Work on addition and subtraction Hello, my name is Kristin Spalding. This is my ninth year teaching. I have taught Special Education, Science/ Social Studies for grades K-2, Kindergarten, and 1st Grade. I have been married for seven years to Chad Spalding and we have two beautiful children Cadin age 7 and Kylie age 5. I enjoy reading, watching my children in sporting events, and spending time with my family.
