2010 Census Data People reporting multiple races represented 2.9% of total population – an increase over 2000 (1st Census to include a multiple race option) Of those respondents who selected being of more than one race, 92% self-reported being of “2 races” with Black or African American and White or Caucasian being the most common combination.
