Joining the army When you plan on joining the army there is a process of how it might go, for example: Talk to an army recruiter MEPS RSP Drills Ship out to reception Start Basic Training Start AIT school after graduation basic

Requirements There aren’t many requirements when it comes to joining the army for they make it as flexible as possible so that you are able to join! Age requirement: 17 – 35 years old! But if you are 17 you will need your parents signature. Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) – you must be able to pass 3 physical tests in order to be allowed in the army. Benefits to joining the ARMY! There are many benefits when it comes to joining the army! There are multiple things they offer so that you nor your family have to worry about bills while your gone. For instance, BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) this is based on duty location, pay grade, and dependency status.

Jobs or Military Occupational Specialty (MOS’s) in the Army The army offers various jobs that you could go in for Bonuses: Depending on your military job they may or may not offer bonuses. Which ultimately it depends on your state and if they need your type of job in that state.

College Tuition GI Bill: designed to help service members and eligible veterans cover costs associated with education. For example, Nevada’s GI bill covers tuition for 36 months of college in the state of Nevada. UNLV, UNR, CSN, GBC are some of the colleges the tuition could be used at Also they will also reimburse you for your textbook’s once you finished the class.
