Example of best answers received What actions and tools are you developing to implement the Manifesto on Citizen Engagement? activities underway: 1. Digital Strategy - delivered improvements in digital connectivity (e.g. free public Wi-Fi), digital skills and literacy, and digital participation within the city. 2. "UK Future Cities Demonstrator“ bid won 3. Open Data Platform : access to a range of open data sets from across 60 organisations in the city. 4. Participatory Budgeting across communities within the city 5. "Centre for Civic Innovation“, City Business Growth Accelerator to coordinate open innovation, co-design and co-production across communities and the public, private, voluntary and academic sectors. Why promoting citizen engagement in city domains is important for your city? What added-value it brings? A key delivery vehicle for the City Community Planning Partnership is that it brings public and voluntary organisations together with communities to deliver local outcome improvement plans within communities. Citizen engagement is central to delivering the four principles. It speeds up the energy transition to renewable energy. Makes smart grid solutions available for lower-income household income families thereby stimulating inclusiveness. And it offers self-data-management as a way to increase the integrity of the personal sphere
