Digitization of Mouza Map A brief past of Land Records & Maps in West Bengal Land records prepared as per Permanent Settlement Regulation in 1793 First series of cadastral maps [CS maps] prepared in 1888 – 1940 2nd series of cadastral map [RS maps] prepared in 1954-1962 under Revisional Settlement Operation 3rd series of cadastral map [LR maps] are being prepared by updating RS maps since 1972 & is nearing completion

LR Mouza Map All the Mouza maps are prepared following a scale Total No of Mouza: 42041 Total Mouza maps: 67,436 All the Mouza maps are prepared following a scale Scale: 16’’= 1 mile (1:3960) mostly also 32”= 1 mile (1:1980) & 64’’= 1mile (1:990)
The Digitization Process of maps involves (i) Scanning of maps using precision scanners (ii) Redrawing points, lines, polygons on image of map-also called layers (iii) Topology building (iv) Data integration (v) Map composition from different layers and (vi) Integration on Bengali Script for labeling
Inclusion of various non-map features as A digital updatable Map is developed by the composition all the components listed Point layer Line layer Area layer and Inclusion of various non-map features as legend the label of the map bata plot information various geographical features (the alamaths) / conventional signs, in-situ points which are represented by symbols and integration on Bengali Script as label
Output of Digitization process Print Copy of Map Softcopy in .SHP format along with all relevant image files & dbf files and other files related to non-map features

BHUCHITRA Village/ Mouza Based Information Map enabled query/MIS report shows query results shown on the map itself. Cadastral Mouza Map based information includes displaying a mouza map, showing plots owned by a raiyat, coloring plots with specific land class, area, possession , owner
Mouza map information can be available from the main menu of the BHUCHITRA
Interface to select a particular Mouza for which information is required
On selection a mouza map is displayed On selection a mouza map is displayed. The map can be zoomed in or out by pressing buttons

On clicking a particular plot within the map plot details are displayed with a different color mark along with owner(s) details
In the ROR information option any plot number can be searched within the map in enlarged view and adjacent plots will be shown.
The plots with a specific range of area (in acre) can be displayed with a different color mark.
The plots of a specific land classification can be viewed in the map The plots of a specific land classification can be viewed in the map. Different land classifications can be viewed in the mouza using different color legends.
Different types of Possessor existing in the plots can be viewed using different color legends on selection of the type of possessor.
Map information details with relevant court fee is displayed along with normal ROR copy.
Plot maps with table of measurements for a khatian is shown and be printed use Laser printer for delivery to citizen.
