Reading General learning outcome: Exposing students to longer texts with varied vocabulary. Specific learning outcomes: -Physical appearance -Jobs -Weather -Parts of the body - Parts of the house - Accidents and injuries -Technology - Free time activities Pedagogical Tools and Ways: - Listen to the text on a CD Player before reading

Oral General learning outcome: - Getting students to express themselves orally using the acquired vocabulary. -Specific learning outcomes: -Poetry -Reading -Oral expression -Listening activities Pedagogical Tools and Ways: - Having oral discussions in class

Reading Comprehension General learning outcome: - Reading and understanding longer texts that require richer and more complex answers in which students use vocabulary and grammar. Specific learning outcomes: * Being able to answer different types of questions: - Wh- questions - Yes / No questions -Multiple choice -True/False questions

Grammar General learning outcome: Writing and speaking correct English Specific learning outcomes: - Present simple and continuous - Must for obligation - Future tense - Comparatives and superlatives - Simple past: regular and irregular verbs - Quantifiers Past continuous First conditional Present perfect

Dictation General learning outcome: -Emphasizing correct spelling and grammar at the same time. Specific learning outcomes: -Unit – based dictations -Average length (40-55 words) -1 point for each misspelt word(new or acquired) -Start word dictations then develop gradually to small paragraphs.

Essay Writing General learning outcome: Writing longer paragraphs using long and correct sentences. Specific learning outcomes: -Descriptive and opinion paragraphs - Write a letter and e-mail

Recommendations -Students should revise regularly. -Each objective is practiced several times so no need to stress your children. -The students must have an English dictionary at home. - Practice makes perfect, so if possible practice English with your children.
