Reading Comprehension General learning outcome: - Reading and understanding longer texts that require richer and more complex answers in which students use vocabulary and grammar. Dictation General learning outcome: -Emphasizing correct spelling and grammar at the same time. Specific learning outcomes: -Unit – based dictations -Average length (40-55 words) -1 point for each misspelt word(new or acquired) -Start word dictations then develop gradually to small paragraphs.
Essay Writing General learning outcome: Writing longer paragraphs using long and correct sentences. Specific learning outcomes: -Descriptive and opinion paragraphs - Write a letter and e-mail
Recommendations -Students should revise regularly. -Each objective is practiced several times so no need to stress your children. -The students must have an English dictionary at home. - Practice makes perfect, so if possible practice English with your children.
