St. Peter Worship at Key to Life Our Lord will return to judge the living and the dead St. Peter Worship at Key to Life Saturday, November 5th

Welcome to St. Peter! We use this Last Judgment as a time to reflect how this world will end. We want our worship to help us keep our spiritual life in order so that Jesus finds us ready to meet him with joy and praise.

Welcome to St. Peter! There are friendship registers at the end of each row. Please take a moment to give us your information so that we have a record of your time with us today. Thank you!

For Our Guests If you have questions, let us try to help. Speak with an usher, greeter, or the person next to you. If you’d like to learn more about St. Peter and its ministry, please talk to a pastor or member after the service.

Prayer before Worship Lord, these end times turn my focus on the time when you return to judge the living and the dead. Help me to see Judgment Day as a day to look forward to and not to fear. Keep me close to you until then through your Gospel. To your glory, I pray. Amen.

Please be courteous and silence all pagers and cell phones. Thank you

Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence CW #361 Verses 1-4 Text: Liturgy of St. James, 5th century; tr. Gerard Moultrie, 1829–85, alt. Setting: PICARDY Tune: French folk tune, 17th century

Verse 1 (Kids Sing): Let all mortal flesh keep silence And with fear and trembling stand; Ponder nothing earthly-minded, For with blessing in his hand Christ, our God, to earth descending, Comes our homage to command.

Verse 2 (Kids Sing): King of kings, yet born of Mary, As of old on earth he stood, Lord of lords in human likeness, In the body and the blood He will give to all the faithful His own self for heav’nly food.

Verse 3 (All Sing): Rank on rank the host of heaven Spread its vanguard on the way As the Light from Light, descending From the realms of endless day, Comes the pow’rs of hell to vanquish As the darkness clears away.

Verse 4 (All Sing): At his feet the six-winged seraph, Cherubim with sleepless eye, Veil their faces to the presence As with ceaseless voice they cry: “Alleluia, alleluia! Alleluia, Lord Most High!”
