Purpose Objective: Inform employees how and where to locate Bourbon County Schools Policies and Procedures on-line. How to Locate the Certified and Classified Handbook. Review the information contained in the Certified and Classified Handbook. Where to access the Employee Code of Conduct Handbook and Review the Expected Actions and Behaviors.

Bourbon County Schools Expected Actions & Behaviors Bourbon County Public School employees shall: 1. Be prepared for responsibilities and be on time for those responsibilities. 2. Be compliant with direct instructions and responsibilities that are legal and safe. 3. Maintain safe environment in the areas of responsibility. 4. Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and fairness when dealing with all stakeholders 5. Be in compliance with all laws, statutes, and district/school policies that prohibits conduct that could reasonably be construed as coercing, retaliating, harassing, intimidating, bullying, discriminating, or threatening. 6. Communicate truthfully and honestly and ensure that all records are kept accurately. 7. Acquire, use, maintain, and dispose of all school property in accordance to policy and protocol. 8. Keep information confidential as required under all laws, statute, and policies. 9. Refrain from activities outside of the contract day that may reasonably limit and/or interfere with his or her ability to effectively perform duties as assigned (i.e. use social media responsibly). 10. Comply with all other federal laws, state statutes, and district/school policies and procedures. Approved the 19th day of May, 2015 by The Bourbon County Board of Education

How to find Policies and Procedures Policies are organized into 10 Chapters: Find the Chapter of Interest- Click on it!

Find The Policy Next you will click on the policy dropdown and scroll down until you find the policy number or the title you are searching: There will be several to choose from that fall under the Chapter Title.

Finding the Procedure for a Policy After you find the policy number in the dropdown you may want to find the procedure that goes with the policy. Click on procedures and match the procedure number with the policy number. There will be a list of procedures to choose from that is related to the policy you selected.
