£26 £1 Achievements April – September 2016 12 month achievements April 2016– March 2017 Reducing health inequalities, maintaining health and wellbeing, helping people to help themselves, contributing to economic growth Over 10,000 people received Welfare Benefits advice Realised £6.6 million of annualised benefit income and one off claims £26 £1 For every £1 invested in our casework services we generated £26 in financial gains for each of our clients We have delivered 170 Outreach sessions in GP Practices, NHS Clinics and community locations 75% of respondents said their mental wellbeing improved following support from the Welfare Benefits Project Over 1,900 older people have received welfare benefits advice In the first 6 months of the new Debt Service, 260 clients were supported, managing debts totaling £1,750,000 Welfare Benefits Project 700 patients have been referred to the Welfare Benefits Project at NHS outreach sessions or directly from GPs, nurses, health visitors, mental and occupational health services, midwives and maternity wards, palliative care and other NHS services Over 1,400 people received expert casework advice, 72% had Long Term Conditions We have helped over 5,200 people with Long Term Conditions
