IWRM studies Approach proposed MoWR, RD&GR - responsible for developing the river basins assessment and planning systems at Macro level (River basin level). main stem and first order tributaries of the river; major and medium reservoirs in the river basin etc. The States - responsible to develop detailed Micro level (sub-basin level) river basin assessment & planning tools. 2nd and higher order tributaries of the river; Medium and minor schemesin the river basin etc Essential that the systems so that both the Macro and Micro level systems are standalone, yet integrated. National Water Informatics Centre to provide all the data available with them to the States for the development of Micro level models. 12
