Agenda Introduction and General Information – Debra Skinner, GS Authority Control in Alma – Guy Frost, VSU Best Practices – Kelly Holt, UGA Questions

Things to Remember Cataloging Functional Project Team developed policies, workflows, documentation based on other Alma consortia. We are all learning how to work in Alma. None of us are experts yet. There are many ways to accomplish a task in Alma. It will take experimentation to learn what works best for us. We all should become familiar with the Training wiki content and monitor for new information. There is a need for centralized management for cataloging. We have requested 2 positions. There is a plan for getting help.

Getting Help… Coming soon Ticketed triage system. Submit cataloging questions and help requests via a simple easy to remember email address. Submission of the email creates a ticket. Any one of assigned volunteers can claim ticket or help request. All volunteers can monitor progress of the request. Individual who claimed can assign to another person. Can collect statistics about questions asked and help needed.
