Knowledge Vs. Behavior Quiz Take 3-4 minutes to complete the “Health Knowledge Quiz” 1.Give each student a copy of the Health Knowledge Quiz and allow 3-4 minutes to complete. Review correct answers (all are TRUE). Ask students how many got all of the answers correct? (This should be the majority of the class). Explain to the students that they will now take another quiz that will test their actual health behavior. 2. Instruct all students to stand up. I always turn around away from the students for privacy. As you read each of the Health Behavior Statements, they must sit down if they cannot honestly answer “YES” to any of the questions. Typically, you will lost a few students with each succeeding question, and by the last question, very few, if any students will be left standing. Processing Why do so many studetns get all the INFORMATION questions correct, but not do so well on the BEHAVIOR test? (no one is perfect, behavior is more difficult to control and change, etc.) Concluding statement: “Your health is affected more by what you do, than by what you know.

I do not misuse cigarettes, alcohol or other drugs. 3. I eat a lot of fruits, vegetables, breads, cereals, and eat very little fats, oils and sweets. 4. I am usually in a good mood and get along with most people. 5. I get a half hour of vigorous exercise at least 3-4 times per week. 6. I get at least 7-8 hours of sleep each night. 7. Health Behavior Test Worksheet For this project you will use the “Health Behavior Test” to quiz two adults, and then follow up your interview with the “Health Behavior Test Worksheet.” Health Behavior Test Worksheet Instructions: Find 2 adults that would be willing to take the Health Behavior Test. They must be willing to reveal their name and age, and complete some brief questions about the results of their test. You may ask the 8 questions orally. You will need one worksheet per person.
