Emergency Procedures Non-Business Hours Call (9) 911 State Your Name State the Building Location City – Address State the details of the situation Contact Security Officer

Emergency Procedures Business Hours If you encounter a situation where a facility problem has occurred: Contact your Manager, Security Officer, or (9) 911 depending on the emergency State Your Name State the Building Location City – Address State the details of the situation To avoid panic, do not discuss the situation with anyone else

Department Manager Call (9) 911 or Security Officer State Your Name State the Building Location State the details of the situation Await further instructions

Evacuation / Assembly Locations If facility evacuation is deemed necessary, employees will evacuate and proceed to the designated assembly location; City – Location

Evacuation / Assembly Procedures 1) Listen for announcement and direction from Management. 2) Secure Work Area 3) Evacuate Building Do Not Run! 4) Use Stairways 5) REMAIN CALM 6) Proceed to designated assembly area 8) Await further instruction 7) Check in with your department manager 9) DO NOT LEAVE AREA WITHOUT APPROVAL

Evacuation / Assembly Procedures For Sweepers / Managers 1) Check rest rooms 3) Sweep department to ensure all employees have been evacuated 2) Check lunch room 5) Account for all staff 7) Await the All Clear signal….. 4) Proceed to assembly location 6) STAY TOGETHER

Bomb Threat Employee Receiving Bomb Threat Call: Remain Calm Adopt an attitude of Skeptical Cooperation Attempt to transfer call to Security Officer or department manager Attempt to get another employees attention. Do not use verbal signal Do not let the caller know you have alerted others

Listen carefully to what the caller says Listen for clues to the callers identity and location Make note of the caller’s age, sex, and accent Pay attention to caller’s attitude and use of language Make note of who the caller sounds like (does the caller sound familiar) Listen for background sounds that may provide clues to their location

Document Call (use Bomb/Kidnap Threat Response Form) Gain information by asking questions: Who is this? Where are you calling from? When is the bomb going to explode? Where is the bomb located? Is it in the open or concealed? Did you place the bomb?

Assure the caller you want to cooperate Advise caller of any difficulties Try to negotiate for time Notify Manager after hanging up Give Manager Bomb Threat Response Form Do NOT discuss threat with anyone Await further instructions Search your area Do NOT touch or move any suspicious package Cooperate with authorities

Department Managers Call (9) 911 State Your Name State the Building Location State the situation (bomb threat) Provide Information Contact Security Officer Initiate Evacuation Keep Bomb Threat Response Form with you

Employees 9) DO NOT LEAVE AREA WITHOUT APPROVAL 1) Respond to evacuation announcement. 2) Secure Work Area 4) Do not touch or move any object or package 3) Conduct visual search as you are leaving 5) Evacuate Building Do Not Run! 6) Proceed to designated assembly area 7) Check in with your department manager 8) Await further instruction 9) DO NOT LEAVE AREA WITHOUT APPROVAL

Employees Do NOT evacuate the building unless instructed Do NOT turn off any power source or use phone Do NOT stop at restroom facilities or drink water Do NOT start your vehicle Await instructions from authorities or Security Officer.

Fire Safety Tips 1) Close door to confine/slow fire’s spread 2) Use back of hand to test door before opening. 3) If caught in smoke, crawl take short breaths, breathe through your nose. 4) If clothes catch on fire – Stop, Drop & Roll.

General Information Senior Management will determine if the facility should close or remain open. Senior Management will contact department managers and advise them of the facilities status. Managers will advise staff members of the facilities status and their role in the work day.

Building Security

Building Access Employees Employees use keys to enter the building and restricted areas. Lost keys must be reported to Security Officer immediately Some areas to the building are restricted to authorized personnel only.

Building Access Non-Employees Non-employees are Vendors, Visitors, Clients, Former Employees, etc All non-employees must be escorted by an employee If you are expecting a visitor notify the appropriate personnel When your visitor arrives you will be notified and expected to greet them in the reception area Escort the visitor throughout the building Escort the visitor back to reception area Employees noticing an unescorted non-employee should inquire who they are, where they should be, and why they are in the building
