How can I know that I have Forgiven like Christ? Christlike Forgiveness - Part 3

1 Peter 2:19-20 “It is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God. But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.” 1 Corinthians I3:5 “love keeps no record of wrongs,” also says that love “is not self-seeking.”

1. We will not let anyone know what someone said about you or did to you Genesis 45:1 “Have everyone leave my presence!” Psalm 103:12 “As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us”

1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love”. 2. We will not allow anyone to be afraid of you or intimidated by you Genesis 45 1 John 4:18 “But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment”. 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love”.

3. We will want them to forgive themselves and not feel guilty Genesis 45 Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

4. We will let them save face Genesis 45

5. We will protect them from their greatest fear Genesis 45 Psalm 51:4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you are proved right when you speak and justified when you judge.

6. It is a lifelong commitment Genesis 50

7. We will pray for them to be blessed “But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” Matthew 5:44 “Lord, do not hold this sin against them” Acts 7:60
