CONTENT LAYOUT HMs / Sr. PRTs have several roles to play being responsible for about half the student population of any KV NCF 2005 focuses on child inspired learning which places holistic education and well- being of the learner as the heart of the educational system As leaders of the Primary section, it is important to have a clear VISION as to what is desirable for the growth and development of the children under our care. Leadership Roles today are changing…….. From Traditional to 21st Century

ACTIVITY Make a list of tasks of an HM, you think should be performed in the course of a year in order for the school to be managed effectively. Which of these do you think are the most important and central responsibilities and tasks?

What makes the role uniquely challenging? The role is multi-faceted.. with many responsibilities…. and extensive knowledge is expected - many balls in air – one drops and others follow… there is a need to hold things together

What does it mean to be a Leader a person who leads as a GUIDE a person who has commanding authority or influence Someone who can inspire others towards the achievement of goals A person who accomplishes a mission or task in a way that makes the group more cohesive
