The ship returns The Pharaoh came into Marseilles in 1815. The captain Leclerc, who was the captain of the ship, was dying so he told Edmond Dantes, who was the first officer, that he will be the captain. Before his death, Leclerc gave a letter to Dantes, and he told him that he had to give the letter to Marshal Bertrand.

Dad and girlfriend The people arrived in Marseilles, and Dantes went to father´s house. He told his father all the news, and his father told him that he didnt have money because he paid some money back to his friend Caderousse. In a moment arrived Mercedes, who was the girlfriend of Dantes. He went out, and the boyfriends were together for a long time.

Problem The soldiers took Dantes from the wedding to an office because Caderouse and Danglars sent a letter to Villefort (the judge) saying that Dantes tried to help Napoleon when he wanted to return to France.

Number 27 When Dantes was in his room, he heard a noise. It was the number 27, a person who was trying to escape making a hole. In a moment part of the floor fell away, it was the man that climbed up into the room. The name was Faria, and he tought Dantes about the history of the world, and the English language, and many other things.

Death Faria and Dantes went to Faria´s room. Faria told him that he work all nights to make the hole, but the hole had to finish outside the prison, not in Edmond’s room. Dantes helped Faria to make the hole. In the moment that Faria was dying, Dantes gave him the red medicine, Faria gave Edmond the letter of Spada’s treasure that was a story that Faria told Dantes before. Faria finally died.

Escape Dantes cut the bag with his knife and put out Faria’s body, then he got in the bag. The guards took the bag and threw it into the sea. Dantes got out of the bag and swam, next, he saw a ship. The ship called ‘’Young Amelia’’ and he could enter. The Young Amelia went to the island of Monte Cristo, and Dantes found the Spada’s treasure. Dantes went in the young Amelia to Genoa, there he bought a boat and went back to Monte Cristo, to took the treasure and went to Marseilles.

End Finally, when Dantes was in Marseilles, he met his father and Mercedes.
