Review 5 Themes 9/29

Bell Ringer Determine which theme of geography is being used and WHY you chose it. Donald Trump visited the Polish National Alliance yesterday in Chicago to give a speech to his supporters. Which theme is being represented and how do you know?

Objective/Agenda Review the 5 themes- be able to identify precisely which one is which! 1. BR 2. Review 3. Postcard Practice 4. Share out

Reminders Not here yesterday for the midterm? See me ASAP after school to set a date to take it! Needs to be before next Tuesday! Progress reports= next Friday

Postcards-determine which theme Sample: Figure out which theme(s) is being used. Use direct evidence! “Hi Mom and Dad! Ireland is AMAZING! Paddy and I took the train from Dublin to County Mayo. We rented bikes, ate good Italian food, and watched the Euro Cup finals! It was so much fun! It has been raining a lot, but that is to be expected for Ireland during the summer! Lots of love, your daughter”

Your turn: Postcards Do #1 and 2. You may work with a partner. There are at least 2-3 themes present. Underline your evidence for which themes they are!

Homework Create 2 postcards with at least 3 themes. Only write your postcard OUT. Do NOT do anything with the right-hand side of the paper. Use the answer key to write down YOUR answers. We will swap these in class tomorrow for others to try and guess your themes and evidence!
