Growth Mindset Group Activity We will read the article together. When we finish, you will individually answer this question on your sticky note: “What can you say instead of ‘I can’t do this’? Why is this a better choice?

Group Work Put your sticky note in one corner of your group’s paper. Take turns sharing the answers you came up with. Work together to come up with ONE good answer that includes everyone’s thoughts. The person sitting in desk #2 will be writing this answer down. When finished, sit quietly and read. We will have time to share our answers.

How does the author convey it? The author uses characters and their words and actions to show the readers what the theme is. (write this) Think about the situation characters find themselves in. What is the conflict? How do they react? What do they say? How do they solve their problems?
