INTRODUCTION THE IDITAROD RACE START IN ALASKA AND ENDS IN NOME THE RACE IS A SLED DOG RACE WITH MUSHERS, DOGS, AND SLEDS OF COURSE. THE FIRST MUSHER TO FINISH THE RACE IS THE WINNER. THERE IS ALSO A SPECIAL AWARD FOR THE LAST PERSON TO FINISH THE RACE. KEEP LOOKING THROUGH THIS SLIDESHOW TO FIND OUT!

MUSHERS CHARLEY BEJNA CHARLEY BEJNA WAS AN IDITAROD MUSHER IN THE 2017 IDITAROD RACE. AGE: 43 BIB NUMBER: 46 BORN IN: ADDISON, IL

DOGS EACH MUSHER STARTS OFF WITH USUALLY 12-16 DOGS. THE MOST POPULAR DOGS FOR THE RACE ARE HUSKIES. THE LEAD DOG HAS TO LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY. THE DOGS NEED TO BE TRAINED.
