Course Overview The purpose of this two-semester course is to introduce students to the Mystery of Jesus Christ, the Living Word of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. In this course students will understand that Jesus Christ is the ultimate revelation to us from God. In learning about who he is, the students will also learn who he calls them to be. Students will learn that for all eternity, God has planned for us to share eternal happiness with him which is accomplished through the Redemption Christ won for us. They will also be introduced to what it means to be a disciple of Christ and that life as a disciple entails.
Confirmation With the approval of the pastor, Rev. Fr. Maurice Harrigan, Mary Star of the Sea High School will offer Confirmation preparation classes to all 9th and 10th grade students. These Confirmation preparation classes will be incorporated into the school day in the 9th and 10th grade religion course curriculum. Students will be eligible for Confirmation at Mary Star of the Sea Church in May, 2017. You are free not to use this program and to participate in your own parish Confirmation program.

Grading Tests/quizzes- 45% (Final Exam= 10%) Homework/classwork- 35% Semester Project- 10% Class Participation- 10%
