VD Venereal disease (old Term)  STD-Sexually Transmitted Disease (new Term) 1.) STD’s are spread by close contact between genitals (vagina, vulva, penis, and testes) and mouth and anus. 2.) STD germs live in warm, moist areas. You can get many STD’s by kissing. If a mother has an STD, she can give it to her baby during childbirth.

3.) Many STD’s can be cured if you get treated…with no treatment you can become sterile…and you can die. 4.) Many STD’s have no symptoms.

Some common STD’s: AIDS…Virus…no cure Herpes…Virus…no cure Genital warts…Virus…no cure Hepatitis…Virus…no cure Chlamydia-Bacteria-can kill with antibiotics Gonorrhea-Bacteria-can kill with antibiotics Syphilis-Bacteria-can kill with antibiotics
