Parent Information Evening Welcome to Prep! Parent Information Evening

Routines/Expectations Day starts 8.33am Mornings/afternoons-undercover area Sitting in the lines, not on the benches or standing with parents Afternoons – PLEASE say goodbye to us! Wait in the undercover area, not near Year 1 classrooms. Correct school uniform – label everything Shoes – Velcro or teach how to tie up shoelaces Spare change of clothes in plastic bag in school bag Belonging - School rules/class vision Lunch – opening own packets, twist top yoghurts, mini cut - too much food (Lunch - 1 sandwich, dairy) (A/T - snack) Tuckshop – milk drinks, fizzy drinks

Behaviour Peg chart – follows school steps Every day is a new day We will not update you unless the behaviour needs to be.

How Can You Help? Sight Words (Popcorn Words) – help practice every night. Might be able to read in a list, but need to be able to read them in a book. Home Reading - every night, books are easier for fluency. Reading every night, finding letters everywhere, sing the alphabet, writing names (capital at start and lowercase for the rest)
