EVANGELISM PT.4 “Tools for Evangelism” Foundation (1.)The first step in building a building is laying the foundation. -God has called his church to build DISCIPLES; Not Converts. -Evangelism (sharing Jesus) is the foundation for building disciples!

EVANGELISM PT.4 “Tools for Evangelism” (Tool 1) THE PRESENCE OF GOD! -Matthew 28:20b “…and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” -Acts 1:8a “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:…” #Both these Scriptures teach us that we NEED the presence of Jesus/God to do his work. #This work is too big to take on by ourselves. *The Holy Spirit (presence of God IN US) empowers us to share Jesus with others.

EVANGELISM PT.4 “Tools for Evangelism” (Tool 1) THE PRESENCE OF GOD! How Do We Receive Jesus’ Presence? Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” (a.)Confess- Jesus as Lord (b.)Believe- in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” (c.)Repent- turn from our sins to God through faith in Christ. (d.)Be Baptized-identify with the believers of Jesus.

EVANGELISM PT.4 “Tools for Evangelism” (Tool 2) OUR TESTIMONY Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” -There’s no testimony without a test. *Our test is not for us; it’s for others. -The blood has already been shed. *Our testimony must be shared.

EVANGELISM PT.4 “Tools for Evangelism” (Tool 2) OUR TESTIMONY Powerful Biblical Testimonies of Evagelism Mark 5:18-19 This formerly demon possessed man first shared his testimony of what Jesus did for him with his friends. John 4:28-30 The woman at the well shared her testimony with the men (probably whom she used to sin with) of the city and led them to Jesus. Acts 3:8-11 The man who was formerly lame at the gate called Beautiful caused others to marvel at God when they SAW the change in his life. *I may not know all the Scriptures but I can tell my story!
