Broader ideas for change Sessions from members of the GALILEO community Primary resources in GALILEO ( involve NGE, DLG, CRDL staff) Partnerships (GPLS, DOE) Move from demonstrative to substantive, even with vendor based sessions (ask and motivate—EBSCO/lexile levels) Coordinating with ALG to make more sessions available (ALG hosted a session on EBSCO Curriculum Builder late last year)

Assessments and inputs Post class assessment (vendors do this and are willing to share with us generally) Create our own (danger: survey saturation) Broader survey of training needs (Yearly) Inputs: Routine requests for input (GALILEO Listserv) Discuss strategies with similar agencies NCLive, Magnolia, etc.

Other measures to explore Outcomes based assessment Better understanding how training impacts understanding and performance Learning outcomes How often are the recorded sessions used? EBSCO recently reported 171 recorded training views in 2016 This needs to be assessed in greater depth and for all vendor providers (they have the data, it will just take time to review and report)

My questions for you… What types of training do you need or want to see? From vendor partners? From GALILEO Staff? From the community? Ideas? How can we best support the academic librarian through training? All libraries-how can we help with verification and professional development/LEU’s/CEU’s etc.? School libraries-what are the best ways to reach your staff with online training in terms of timing? “After 3” has been our norm, but what else can we do?
