Ask Yourself: Is it filling a need? If so.. Start planning! We will ask this question and then expand on why it is important.

Steps to Success Organize: Publicize: Be prepared in advance Ensure everything runs smoothly Have someone reliable to delegate Publicize: Spread the word to get a sufficient amount of volunteers Create aesthetic posters and signs Use social media to your advantage!

Steps to Success Host the Event: Thank Volunteers: Have a set amount of people leading the meeting/event Always have a backup plan It’s important to have chaperones Thank Volunteers: Play music to get the spirits up Provide a snack or incentive A good experience will make them come back again!

Activity Time! During this time, we have prepared a few service projects that the audience themselves can take part in to let them get involved and have a better idea of our presentation. About 13 minutes of our entire presentation is reserved for this.

Quiz Time! Can you name three small service projects? What are some ways you can publicize? What are the 4 steps to hosting effective events? What is the first question to ask yourself when thinking about hosting a service event? What are ways to thank your volunteers? We will ask the audience to volunteer and answer the question, they will receive candy for answering the questions.
