Junior Team Policies 2017 - 2018

Junior Team Cell Phone Policy Student use of cellphones/other devices in classrooms is prohibited without teacher approval. (As per district policy) 1st offense- turned into Lee Main office/ student can pick it up after 4:05 2nd offense- turned into office/ PARENT can pick it up after 4:05. Please help us by contacting your children in appropriate ways and understanding that interruptions during class hinder the learning process for all students.

Junior Team Cell Phone Policy 3rd offense – ISS assigned by the AP. If you are on your phone during any graded assignment, I assume you’re cheating and you will receive a zero on the assignment with no chance to make it up. Please help your parents by giving them your schedule and telling them when they might expect you to answer their calls/texts.

Junior Team Grading Policy All Junior teachers follow district guidelines when grading and assessing all student work. Grading policies and percentages vary according to each content area. Consult each teacher’s syllabus for specifics. Additional information will be given out during the first week of school.

Junior Team Late Work Policy Per District policy, “late work is defined as any assignment that is not submitted on the due date and class period with the exception of makeup work for absences or approved school activities. A 20 percent deduction from the total grade earned will be taken for late assignments. Late assignments will be accepted until the material has been assessed summatively or a three-week grading period ends.

Junior Team Academic Honesty Policy Per District Policy, “Academic dishonesty includes [but is not limited to] cheating copying the work of another student plagiarism, and unauthorized communication between students during an examination The determination that students have engaged in academic dishonesty shall be based on the judgment of the classroom teacher or another supervising professional employee, taking into consideration written materials, observation, or information from students.”

Junior Team General Expectations Classwork: Do not work on assignments from one class in other classes. Work only on each class’ work during that class period. We will take up your classwork and will not return it. Tardies: Students are expected to be on time to every class every day. Eight minutes late is absent. We will not delay you after class so that you will miss instruction in your next class.

Junior Team General Expectations Dress Code: Students are expected to follow the dress code policy in every class period, not just first period. Core Values: leadership, integrity, respect, accountability, perseverance, community.

Medications Students may not have or carry any medication of any type or variety with them at any time on campus. This includes cough drops, vitamins, supplements, etc. The only exceptions are those students that have doctor’s orders and have obtained approval from the district/ campus nurse’s office. Can carry sunscreen but not an aerosol; nor may it be shared. Insect repellant is considered a medicine.

Campus IDs Students must have their IDs on them at all times. This is a safety issue. To use the restroom you must have your ID with you. To get an ID go to the main office before/ after school or during lunch. 1st card if free; $5 per card afterwards. Must have an ID card to get your textbooks.

Schedule Changes Only students missing a class period may go to the office- go during the period you are missing that period. Forms will be available after school on Tuesday August 29th in counseling office. Can make appointments before/after school and during lunch starting Wednesday August 30th.

HAVE A GREAT YEAR CLASS OF 2019!
