Background Study done by the Center for Talent Innovation Focus of study was to identify what some professionals have that others do not The outcome of the study was the identification of 3 pillars that define Executive Presence Background

“Executive presence is an amalgam of qualities that true leaders exude, culminating in an aura that telegraphs you’re in charge – or deserve to be.” Executive Presence Pg. 3 The EP Concept

The 3 Pillars of EP Gravitas (A specific set of behaviors) Exuding confidence Acting decisively Showing integrity Demonstrating Emotional Intelligence Burnishing reputation Projecting Vision Communication Appearance The 3 Pillars of EP

Gravitas (Behavioral Characteristics) 6 Core traits of Gravitas Confidence or ”Grace under fire” Decisiveness and ”Showing Teeth” Integrity and ”Speaking Truth to Power” Demonstrating Emotional Intelligence Reputation and Standing Vision Essentially the same for men and women Must NOT fail miserably at any one trait Must ace at least 3 of the 6 Gravitas (Behavioral Characteristics)
