HUD’s Implementation of Small DDAs Why? To encourage development in neighborhoods with greater opportunities for resident employment and education. When? Began with 2016 designations, effective July 1, 2016. All future designations effective January 1. For example, 2017 DDAs were effective January 1, 2017.
HUD’s Implementation of Small DDAs Changes From 2016 to 2017: Incorporated new Metro definitions. Eliminated overlap between QCTs and DDAs. Added minimum population requirement. Combined effect: 101 more SDDAs in 2017. Future changes? Minor change in Metro definitions for FY2018 ILs, affecting the 2019 DDAs.

Property Form: Reporting of Properties no Longer Monitored for Compliance moved to separate form.
