Emailed: 3/5/16, submissions by the 1/6/16 Go Green Workbook: May 2016 Activities Evidence Required Points Deadline Peer Audit / Energy (2) BRONZE: Where possible, the champion has increased the set points on air-con units to (24oC or warmer) in preparation for warmer weather in the summer. The champion has also looked for energy saving opportunities before the warmer season, such as increasing natural ventilation and reducing solar gain by keeping blinds down, discouraging the use of electric fans, keeping windows & doors closed when the air conditioning is on. Encouraging staff to switch off all unnecessary lighting and equipment will also reduce excess heat. A list of air conditioning set points that have been altered and also a list of energy saving opportunities in preparation for warmer weather. 2 Emailed: 3/5/16, submissions by the 1/6/16 SILVER: The Go Green Champion has partnered up with another team to carry out a reciprocal peer audit (a template for this will be emailed out). A list of opportunities will be sent to the other team. Email evidence and a completed action plan. 5 GOLD: The champion has used the suggestions from the peer audit to identify a plan of actions to put into place, with time scales and staff members responsible. Energy saving opportunities can be highlighted to the Environment Team - there may be some funding available for projects such as lighting control upgrades. 10 BONUS: The champion has highlighted the National Vegetarian Week (16th-22nd May) and/or the Fairtrade Foundation's Fairtrade Coffee Challenge (13th-15th May). One or more person from the team has signed up to go veggie for a week or to only purchase Fairtrade coffee and has encouraged colleagues to do so as well. Links for these can be found below: http://www.nationalvegetarianweek.org/free-resources-grants/ OR https://www.fairtradechallenge.org/us/home/ Email evidence and/or pictures 3 Total points available: 20
