Presentation transcript:

The ‘cover story’ is highlighted in a different, bright colour, making it easily distinguishable and allows the reader to know what the main story is about. The name of the page ‘A-side’ is unique and interesting. It could also be related to hip hop culture due to the East Coast – West Coast continuous battle throughout the 80’s 90’s 00’s and current day hip hop music scene The cover lines are split up and have clear headlines in a bold white, which keep with the simple theme. The cover story is kept separate to the over story's making it easy to locate , as it may be the first thing the reader wants to read. The quote gives you an extra idea on the type of information inside and also looks good as it is in the sweet spot and is short and clear. The direct gaze and low angle shot suggest he is a well known and powerful musician. This is because he is higher the camera suggesting he is above them. The direct gaze and low angle shot suggest he is a well known and powerful musician. This is because he is higher the camera suggesting he is above them. The ‘exclusively shot’ photos for the magazine could attract the reader as they are paying good money so want to know it has quality and care put into it. The cover lines contain a lot of emotive to attract and draw the readers attention. It also has jargon specific to the hip hop culture making it more personable to the reader. The main image is very big and takes up the majority of the page. This means the reader can easily recognise the main story and also Dr Dre is a hip hop icon which connects the magazine with the target audience. This is good as contents pages can often feel clustered and congested. The website at the bottom of the page keeps it informative and also sends a reminder on the magazine and helps with the publicity.
