Springboard 3.19 I will examine a text and videos that present both a historical and critical perspective, regarding productions of Othello in order to develop an analytical essay. You will need the following for today: SpringBoard Please turn off and put away all electronic devices!

Springboard 3.19 The class will read “Othello on Stage and Screen” from Activity 3.19 (p. 202-213) by chunking the essay and focusing on specific items in each chunk and answer questions about video clips, “Insider’s Guide: Language in Othello” and “Insider’s Guide: Deception in Othello.”

Chunk 1 (Page 202-203, Paragraphs 1-5) 20 minutes List three significant words from the section and explain why they are important. Create a chronology (timeline) of the information in the section. List three statements or phrases that capture the significant ideas of the chunk. (Must be different than the significant words) Springboard 3.19
