Good insects and Bad insects

What do YOU think? Tell a neighbor how some insects are good? Tell a neighbor how some insects are bad? Are all insects bad?

95% of insects are GOOD!!!! Lets learn about the 3 types of helpful insects Predators Pollinators Recyclers

Predators These types of insects eat harmful insects. Gardeners and farmers like these insects because they kill the pests that eat their plants.

Pollinators These insects are important pollinators for plants. Flowers have nectar which insects eat as food. When an insect visits a flower looking for nectar it will pick up pollen. Then it visits another flower and drops the pollen into that flower. This is called pollination. This is how a seed is formed.

Recyclers and Decomposers Some insects are beneficial because they help recycle waste. You might not think they are helpful because you usually find them in trash and decaying matter. They are really important because they help keep the trash from piling up!

If 95% of insects are helpful, what percent of insects are harmful? 95 + ___ = 100

That is right! Only 5% of insects are harmful! They might cause a lot of damage to structures, which can cost a lot of money. Some people are allergic to them. They might sting or bite you. People might be scared of them.
