Scope of the course This course provides an overview of the physics and technology of superconducting magnets for particle accelerators addressed to a diversified audience. The basic physical principles behind a superconducting magnet for particle accelerators are discussed. Key magnet parameters from a magnetic, mechanical and thermal point of view are presented.
