We expect to have 3307 photons for Z=15 particles We plan to use the silica aerogel developed by the Catalysis Institute of Novosibirsk (used in other CERN experiments) 50* 50*25 mm**3, n=1.05 +/- 0.002 Photon yield measured for 25 mm thick silica aerogel (n=1.05) during the AMS test run in CERN: 14.7 +/- 0.17 for Z=1 particles We expect to have 3307 photons for Z=15 particles We plan to use about 100 Multipixel Avalanche Photodiode detectors (Zecotek). On average one MAPD will detect 33 photons. Analog and digital electronics will be the same as for Projectile Spectator Detector (?) Monday, July 16, 2018
