All about computers All about computers prepare the students to learn how to use computers. I will use this tool to talk about web sites they have visited and what they learned from their visits. I will let my students know that a web can be a helpful place to find information on certain topics studied in school.

Everyday Math Everyday math will allow the students to get use to the basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I will explain to my students that they use math every time they figure out how much time or money they have, spend or need. They will also begin working as a class to solve problems about money including addition and subtraction.

Free Lesson Plans Free lesson plans will help me provide lesson plans for my students. I will ask students how they solve certain math problems. I will also provide circle graphs, word puzzles, and word problems for my students.

Suggested Reading Suggested reading will grasp the attention of my 2nd graders to make reading fun for them. I would provide lesson plans on how to tell time (how to use digital and analog clocks). I would use lots of cartoon drawings to explain the history of numbers, and also reading books to start recognizing words.

Vocabulary Vocabulary is going to help students pronounce and also no the definitions of words. I will introduce students to definitions to question marks, explanation points, decimal points, and also fractions. I will introduce to the definitions of things they see every day like cars, schools, library, ext.

Technology At Work Technology at work will give me the opportunity to explain to the children all the different technology in the world and how it helps us day to day. I will ask my students what they think of when they hear the word technology? I will explain to them the definition of technology. I would have the students brainstorm about technology and see what they come up with.

Discussion Questions This will help me know if the students understand what we are discussing, if there confused about what we are discussing or if they like or don’t like what we are discussing. I would ask questions throughout are lessons of the day, being able to get the students feedback.

Evaluations Evaluations will help me know how my students are doing in my class. I would use the three point rubric in my class when grading some assignments. I would use the grading scale to calculate the students final grades.

Clip Art Clip Art would allow the student to get creative on the computer and also the classroom. The students will be able to use clip art on the internet as we explore the Microsoft office. Students will also be able to use clippings from magazine’s newspapers, and even books for certain lessons.

Homework Help Homework help will help me keep my students on a right path, and to be able to let me know who needs help or not in the class. I would provide afternoon programs for students and assist them with there homework assignments. I would also ask my students every day before dismissal if they understand there homework assignments.

Science Science will give the 2nd graders a chance to get creative in the classroom and also know about there environment. I will do nature lesson plans, including outdoor activities. I will have the students sometime categorize items into groups of natural objects and designed objects.

Learning Adventures Learning adventures will give the students a chance to get out of the classroom and explore, to make learning fun as well. I would incorporate field trips throughout the school year, including the zoo, fire stations, museums, and ext. I would teach the children the importance of the field trips.
