There are a couple of extra activities if your child would like a challenge! This half term we will be learning about place value in maths. Complete some of the activities set by your teacher on mathletics (new logins coming soon!). On the 22nd of September, we will be holding an Egyptian Day! Can you create an accessory for your costume? It could be a necklace made of card, a paper bracelet or a headdress. Read an Ancient Egyptian myth of your choice. You could practise retelling it to your family or rewrite the story in your own words. You might even be able to meet your English targets too (coming soon!). In Science we will be learning about living things. Research the seven different life processes and create a fact file about them. (MRS NERG) In French this year we will be learning the different names for animals. Can you research the names of some different animals and create a French poster for display. Read your reading book three times with an adult. Can you pick out examples of the following: Nouns and adjectives Conjunctions Adverbs and verbs This term we will be learning about the Ancient Egyptians. Research some information about them and choose how you will present it. You may want to create a Google Slides document, create an information text or plan a talk to the class.
