Cameras

How the Camera Has Made the Biggest Change in How People Around the World Live Cameras have come a long way since they were first invented in 1685 by Johann Zahn, and since then have changed the world for better and for worse. One way I think cameras have changed our world is because they help us document important events. Cameras help you capture photos in moments you will never get back in your life like your birthdays, your vacations, and even your very first soccer game. Cameras also allow us to remember important events in history such as pictures of the Titanic, pictures of the first world war, and photographs of Neil Armstrong on the moon. Before Cameras existed during important events like these the only way to get visual interpretations and reminders of these events would be to have them described to you, or you would have to look at paintings and sculptures which are harder to access and not always 100% accurate.

Statue Photo Painting Photo In this slide there is two representations of each photo, the picture on the right is a photograph takin off of a camera and the picture on the left is what people would do to remember certain moments in history before cameras were available.

Is How the Camera Changed the way people lived long-term or short-term This is definitely a long term change. I believe people are now using cameras every single day in their everyday life's to keep in touch with others, sell stuff, guard stuff, and share stuff. Taking a photo with your camera is quicker and easier then sending an email describing something. So why would people want to stop doing what is quicker and easier for them? I believe this is obviously a long term change and cameras are only going to get better.

How the Camera is a Good and Bad Change for Society I believe that the camera is a good change for society. I think that being able to take a photo and sharing it can inspire people and make people laugh. There are so many good reasons as to why the camera is a good change for society, but it also can be a bad change in some situations. Photos could be used for bullying others and also some people use their cameras to take inappropriate photos. I don’t think anything could be done to stop people from doing these things other than just taking away cameras and even if that ever happened people can and probably will still find ways to bully others.

What Other Changes we can Expect in the Future from Cameras The camera has evolved and changed so much since it first was invented I definitely think other changes will come in the future. I think one of the big changes will come with smart phone cameras getting better quality, and being able to take better photos than digital cameras. I also think we can expect updated cameras going up into space and landing on more planets to take photos.
