How To Saddle Western By: Phoenix

Step 1. Get a Saddle Blanket Out of the Saddle room.

Step 2. Grab a Western saddle out of the Tack Room.

Step 3. Put the Saddle Blanket on the horses back so the blankets front is at the withers.

Step 4. Put the saddle on top of the saddle blanket so a little of the front of the blanket is showing.

Step 5. Now here comes the tricky part. You need to buckle the saddle. You need to take the (girth the yarn belt that hangs from the saddle) and bring it under the horses stomach so it is right in front of the horses front legs.

Step 6. Next you need to find the long leather belt that hangs on the other side of the saddle and slide it through the inside of the of the loop at the end of the girth and make sure that the leather goes against the horses stomach the first time you loop it inside the girth. Make sure you tighten the belt every time you slide it through.

Step 7. Now when you get done sliding the leather belt through the loop you pull one last time then tie it around the rest of the straps if you have long piece left if you don’t well good luck falling off your horse or you just tighten it again!
