CYANOTYPE- Process

Step 1 Mix ferric ammonium citrate with ferricyanide These two chemicals will react together to make a mixture that is photo sensitive

Step 2 Coat the paper with the mixture of chemicals

Step 3 Dry the paper

Step 4 Place the negative on top of the green paper and secure

Step 5 Take the negative and green paper outside to be exposed to the sunlight Exposure time varies depending on the negatives size and how much chemical is on the paper

Step 6 The paper is then placed in water to rinse out the chemicals that have not set yet After exposing the picture to the sun for a matter of minutes the imprint of the negative will be on the green paper because of the chemicals reacting to the sunlight

Step 7 Take the cyanotype out of the water and place it aside to dry
