CHAPTER 4 So are you beginning to see how wonderful and mysterious my zoo is? Can you imagine what other amazing creatures there are in the zoo? Well I have only worked here as the Night-time Zookeeper for a week so I suspect there are lots of creatures that I am yet to meet myself. One creature I have met, every night in fact, is the next animal on my rounds. She lives in Zone 6 which is right in the middle of the zoo. Come with me and if you are very happy and smiley I will introduce you to The Time Travelling Elephant. “Who is the Time Travelling Elephant?” you ask, well I maybe the only zookeeper in the world who can tell you. The Time Travelling Elephant is a lovely and charming creature yet at the same time She is also very lonely. You see we only have one Elephant in the zoo and She lives in a great temple full of many elephant size rooms. Apart from hers, however, all of them are empty. Her loneliness makes her sad and she longs for company so when I arrive at the temple I am always smiley and happy. I stay with her for a long while playing games. She likes lots of games, but her favourite is Pairs!
