Connecting Kids to Justice Day 3

Have you ever been stuck on a problem and needed help from someone Have you ever been stuck on a problem and needed help from someone? Do you remember how you felt when you finally understood the answer? Relieved? Hopeful?

How You Can Help All this week you are bringing in money to help people around the world who are affected by the changes in our climate. Your donations will be sent to Catholic Relief Services who will use your money to bring great relief and hope to those who need it the most. When we help others and show them how to care for the environment, themselves and their families, we all live in greater dignity.

Catholic Social Teaching It is our duty as Catholics to foster Life and Dignity for all humans. .

Rina Begum is a farmer in rural southern Bangladesh Rina Begum is a farmer in rural southern Bangladesh. Her country is known for cyclones and heavy flooding that cause great destruction. Rina and her husband work long days tending rice fields, selling eggs, paying school fees for their children, saving what they can to slowly build a life for themselves. But then, a devastating cyclone; which is a fierce storm much like a tornado, destroyed their home, livestock and everything they owned.

We Can Make a Difference CRS showed Rina, her family and community how to build safer homes, how to protect their food and created a warning system so that families in Rina’s community can be better prepared. When we donate money this week, it will be given to CRS to continue their work on their programs.

Talk About It What are some ways you can share what you have with friends and neighbors in need? What would you share?
