Landforms Russia has many landforms including 12 seas, 8 mountains ranges, 6 rivers, 6 sets of islands, the Baikal lake, and the Kamchatka Peninsula.

Seas Russian seas are plentiful but not the fish within them. Only 2 of the 12 seas supply well fishing Aral Sea was drying up when Russia still had control of it. The Okhotsk and Sea of Japan are the only seas that border Russia with good fishing.

Mountain Ranges There are many mountains ranges such as Ural, Tanna Ola, Sayan, Yabonovyy, Stanover, Cherskiy, Kolym, and Caucasus. These mountains make traveling hard.

Rivers There is no use in using rivers for hydroelectric power, trading or transportation. The rivers in Russia are the Volga, Irliysh, Ob, Lena, Kenisey, and Amue. The longest river in Russia is the Volga.

Islands The islands in Russia are the Fronz Josef Land, Severnaya Zelma, New Siberian islands, Wrangle islands, Kuril islands and Sakhalin island.

Lake Baikal The biggest and oldest lake. Contains the most fresh water out of any lake. Covered in ice from January to May. Reaches very cold temperatures such as -6 degrees Fahrenheit.

Kamchatka Peninsula Home to grizzly bears, reindeer, and wolves. There are more than eighty volcanoes here. The region is characterized by strong earthquake activity.
