One to the World with StoryCorps StoryCorps is America’s oral history project. Since 2003, StoryCorps has collected more than 60,000 interviews with over 100,000 participants from all backgrounds -- the largest single collection of human voices ever gathered. Recordings are archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress so that future generations can hear the stories – and the voices – of today. We share stories online and through our popular weekly NPR broadcasts, podcast, animated shorts, and best-selling books.

One to the World with StoryCorps Connect to the World with StoryCorps StoryCorps.me and the StoryCorps app were created as a global platform for listening, connecting, and sharing stories of the human experience. Anyone can now take part in the StoryCorps experience, anytime, by creating an account on StoryCorps.me and downloading the app on their mobile device. StoryCorps.me is a home for the recordings and also provides interviewing and editing resources. In addition, all interviews uploaded to the platform will be archived at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress The StoryCorps app seamlessly walks users through an interview by providing all the necessary tools for a wonderful experience. You will receive help preparing questions, finding the right environment for your conversation, recording a high-quality interview on your mobile device, sharing the finished product with friends and family, and uploading your conversation to the StoryCorps.me website.

One to the World with StoryCorps Piloted in 2015, The Great Thanksgiving Listen is StoryCorps’ ground- breaking oral history project that uses near-universally accessible smartphone technology to capture an entire generation of American lives and experiences while fostering meaningful connections within families, communities, and the classroom. This project may well result in an archive containing the single largest collection of human voices ever gathered. Over the Thanksgiving weekend, high school students are encouraged to record an interview with a grandparent or another elder using the free StoryCorps app. With permission from the participants, each of these interviews will be uploaded to the StoryCorps archive in the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
